Please read this Policy before using the Service or connecting a Google account.
By connecting a Google Calendar, you acknowledge that selected calendar information may be displayed on a publicly accessible Friends Status page as described below.

This Policy applies to information processed through the website, its APIs, and the Friends Status feature.
It does not govern websites, applications, or services operated independently by Google, Discord, Steam, or other third parties.
Their own privacy policies and terms apply when you use those services.
We may process information that you voluntarily provide when contacting us, requesting services, subscribing to communications, or otherwise interacting with the website.
This may include your name, email address, message content, and information necessary to respond to your request or perform an agreement with you.
When you visit the website, our servers and enabled analytics tools may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, language, approximate location derived from an IP address, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic information.
We use this information to operate, protect, diagnose, and improve the Service.
Where configured for a Friends Status profile, the Service may process Discord presence information and Steam profile information made available to the Service through the relevant APIs.
This may include an account identifier, avatar, online or presence status, activity, current Steam game, and publicly available gameplay information.
These details may be displayed on the corresponding publicly accessible Friends Status page.
The Friends Status feature uses Google OAuth 2.0 and requests the following read-only permission:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly
This permission allows the Service to read calendars and calendar events available to the connected Google account.
The current integration reads the connected account’s primary calendar and processes only the information required to display calendar activity, including:
The Service does not use this permission to create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events.
The Service does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, passwords, or Google payment information.
Google Calendar data is used only to provide user-facing Friends Status functionality requested by the person connecting the account.
Specifically, the Service uses event information to:
Calendar events are not used for advertising, credit decisions, profiling unrelated to the Friends Status feature, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
We do not sell Google user data.
Friends Status pages are not protected by a password.
Anyone who has or discovers the page URL may be able to view the information displayed there.
If a Google Calendar is connected to a Friends Status profile, event titles, event times, event colors, and the resulting current status may be visible to visitors of that page.
Do not connect a calendar containing confidential, sensitive, medical, financial, employment-restricted, or other information that should not be publicly displayed.
By completing Google authorization, you instruct the Service to display the calendar information described in this section for the selected Friends Status profile.
Depending on the context and applicable law, we process personal data on one or more of the following grounds:
We process personal data only for the purposes described in this Policy or for compatible purposes permitted by applicable law.
OAuth tokens and cached calendar information are stored on infrastructure used to operate the Service.
Calendar data is synchronized approximately every two minutes while the feature is being viewed and the integration remains available.
The current calendar cache covers the period needed to provide the timeline and upcoming status functionality, generally from seven days in the past through thirty-one days in the future.
Cached information may be replaced during later synchronization.
OAuth tokens and connection records are retained while needed to operate the requested integration or until we process a valid deletion request, unless longer retention is required by law, necessary to resolve a dispute, or necessary to protect the Service from abuse.
Server and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period necessary for security, diagnostics, and legal compliance.
We may disclose personal data only in the following circumstances:
Service providers may process data only to provide their services to us and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.
We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers or use it for personalized advertising.
The Service’s use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is used only to provide or improve the prominent, user-facing Friends Status functionality described in this Policy.
Human access to Google user data is prohibited except when you give explicit permission for support or troubleshooting, when access is necessary for security or legal compliance, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operational purposes, in each case where permitted by Google policy and applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal data, including HTTPS in transit, restricted server access, authentication controls, and separation of application secrets from publicly delivered website code.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will investigate and respond to suspected incidents as required by applicable law.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, restriction or cessation of processing, withdrawal of consent, or deletion of your data.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, email makstashkevich@gmail.com from the address associated with the relevant account and include:
We may request additional verification to prevent unauthorized deletion or disclosure.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law and generally aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
You may revoke the Service’s Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions.
Revoking access prevents future successful synchronization but may not by itself immediately delete data already cached by the Service.
To delete stored OAuth tokens, cached events, and the connection record from our systems, send a deletion request to makstashkevich@gmail.com.
After a verified deletion request is completed, the connected calendar will no longer be shown unless it is authorized again.
The website may use cookies or similar technologies required for functionality, security, preferences, and audience measurement.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential technologies will be used on the basis of consent.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although some website features may not work correctly afterward.
Some technical providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence.
Where required, we use appropriate legal and organizational measures for such processing and limit it to what is necessary to provide the Service.
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly request Google Calendar access from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal data without appropriate authorization, contact us so that we can investigate and delete the information where required.
We may update this Policy when the Service, data practices, or legal requirements change.
The updated version becomes effective when published on this page unless a later date is stated.
Material changes affecting Google user data will be reflected in this Policy before the changed practice is introduced and, where required, additional consent will be requested.
Questions, privacy requests, and complaints may be sent to makstashkevich@gmail.com.
The current version of this Policy is available at https://stashkevich.com/privacy-policy.
